Question for people on the blog

Are martial artists and warriors the same?

  1. Good question. I think it depends on one's definition of a warrior. Based on my definition, then yes, a martial artist is a warrior. My definition comes from Morihei Ueshiba's book 'The Art of Peace'. It goes as follows: "...the real way of the warrior is based on compassion, wisdom, fearlessness, and love of nature." This is also a Martial Artist.

    Hope this helps. :)

PS: Keep asking yourself questions!. You will eventually find the answers; not always in the way you expect. But by asking questions you are not closed off, you are allowing yourself to gain knowledge, and thus you will gain a greater understanding of the universe.
