Zen stories

Ok guys, you obviously didn't understand my post about the clip history of mankind. It is not intended to be factual representation of history, but as a metaphor. You've fallen into the classical trap of seeking empirical solution like most of the society. You should watch as you were a child listening to fairy tales. Underneath all of the wizards, knights and dragons there's a moral  of the story.
Same here... Don't take aliens, parallel dimensions too rigidly. It's like watching Matrix and getting pissed of because Keanu Reeves is dodging bullets, then you'll lose the whole point of the movie. This was just a creative way to describe the Fall of Man, and that's the topic you can find in almost every religion and philosophical texts. It is clear that humanity lived in harmony and then something got fucked up. This movie just gives some insights how it could have happened and what you can do to make it right. And if you are history buff like me, you can take these ideas, analyse it, incorporate into your research and create your own interpretation of history. Don't take anything for granted!

Anyway I'll share some of animated zen stories from the same channel... Enjoy!

  1. Actually, it's not that I've fallen for anything (especially empirical history), but rather that I don't have an hour to devote to a very convoluted delusion and/or charade. I'll try these videos though, and let you know what I think

    1. By falling into a trap I meant that you take an adult perspective on it. And that's good, sometimes... But like in martial arts, we need to learn how to balance. Brains and heart, responsible adult and a playful child etc... Sometimes you can learn more from fairy tales and myths than from serious scholars. A child can be a greater sage than some 'wise old man' with a long gray beard. But in order to understand it fully, you must take a different approach, otherwise you'll see it as a make believe or charade. If you don't like it, don't force yourself to watch it. It just resonated with my inner child so I chose to share it.

  2. I've watched them all (those in this post). I see the metaphors in these videos. I see the efforts that the creators of those videos have putted to share some life lessons with everybody. But those videos are kinda too cute. There's a lack of understanding toward the real suffering and pain of the actual man and woman of this world. The way they present things are a little too simple. Even if it's metaphor, i feel more The Matrix and V for Vendetta than these, way more. But thanks for sharing, these videos are in some ways interesting to watch anyway in my opinion. And you know what, maybe those videos could be a great introduction to morality for childrens. I miss those old cartoons in which there was those life lessons. I don't mean to be sarcastic, i'm serious, these are more for childrens than for adult, don't you agree?

    1. Yes, that's exactly what I've said. In order to enjoy these kind of videos you need to be in a childlike state of mind. Innocent and cute. The whole point, in my humble opinion, is that we should balance the harshness of reality with childlike innocence. We can't be grown ups and serious all the time. Talking about, watching and experiencing the gritty reality is good to some extent, so that you can open your eyes and be real. But too much of that can make you depressed, nihilistic and cynical. The Matrix and V for Vendetta do not show the complete way, because they lack warmth and cuteness. Pain and suffering is all around us so it's very hard to preserve our inner child. But we have to, otherwise what's the point? Being an adult is not always a good thing
