I was able to try the live online training again last night. I had a lot of fun, and it was really great to get to meet more of the Chicago family. I hope to get a better routine so I can do the live training more regularly. It is a really good addition to FMK.
I was also wondering if we are going to give up on the leg challenge or continue it. I have been attempting it, but I'm not sure how to do all of the moves involved in it. I still have a lot to learn with the kicks because I don't have much previous experience with much beyond the more simple moves.
Good question, re. continuing or giving up. I did a couple days of it early in the week, but then was getting so much leg training from Sifu via the live sessions, that I just didn't have it in me to finish out the week's challenge routines. Here's what I'm thinking at this point... keep the challenges, but perform them on days when we don't train in real-time with FMK
ReplyDeleteYou and I should probably have a private Skype session this week. I'd like to check out how your CLF is coming along. And then we could also go through any of the exercises and kicks from the leg challenge that you're not sure about
ReplyDeleteThst sounds like a good idea about doing the challenges on days we don't train live, especially with the legs.
DeleteI'll try to catch you on Skype sometime this week. It would be good to go over my form and work on some new kicks and things.
I know I'm late, but glad to see you join us Friday night!
ReplyDeleteAnd don't worry you'll get the kicks down! I remember my simple kicks never wanting to coordinate with the feet I was suppose to jump off from. Even now I still need to work on my arms with kicking and the more advanced ones, but we're all with you! Practice. practice & it'll come natural. :)
I'll probably try to keep training on Friday nights and figure out what other days work out well too. I've been wanting to join the morning training, but it has been hard for me to get going in the mornings lately.
DeleteI think the kicks will be a lot of fun once I am more used to it. I will definitely have to get more practice on them.
