Good question. I think it depends on one's definition of a warrior. Based on my definition, then yes, a martial artist is a warrior. My definition comes from Morihei Ueshiba's book 'The Art of Peace'. It goes as follows: "...the real way of the warrior is based on compassion, wisdom, fearlessness, and love of nature." This is also a Martial Artist.
