I usually walk 2 miles to work a day well i was off for two days so i decided to train really hard. I stretched, squats, kicked the heavy bag damn I'm feeling it today walking to work. Note to self dont train so much give your body time to heal.

Dropping The Martial Arts
No One Gives A Fuck About Martial Arts In New Zealand
I'm like pissed off like the way Freddie is pissed off about no one in America giving a fuck about martial arts. Hopefully I can show and educate NZ what real martial arts is, like how Bruce Lee and Freddie Lee is showing America what real martial arts is. So I'm like parallel to Bruce and Freddie. As for me Prior to showing and educating about the real martial arts, I must first reach the highest level, this would mean that I have to be physically, mentally (intellectually) and spiritually at the highest level.
I get people around me who thinks that martial arts is about violence and competition. They love to see that shit, and I think that they must be mentally ill. They need to learn from the east, books, movies or even Freddie and his youtube channel, or just people who actually knows what real martial arts is, so they should be reading this blog site. If the people here in NZ don't want to know what real martial arts is and wants to act like they all know what real martial arts is, which they considered to be combat sports or cage fighting, then I would suggest they go back to rugby which is popular here, or net or soccer (football). They don't belong in the martial arts, they belong in sports. Martial arts is not all about combative techniques or fighting. There is the spirit which is very important, and the people don't want to understand it, as some may say that the teachings are against their religion and all that other crap. Or they just don't FUCKEN get it, no matter how hard I try, it don't click in for them, It's like teaching a kid philosophy. I think they watch too much TV. I can understand that they don't know, is because there is no one famous in NZ who is a real martial artist like Bruce Lee, Tony Jaa or Jet Li. Maybe I might have to get famous myself in NZ and represent the real martial arts like how these greatest artist does showing and educating the real shit.
There may be some people who do care about the martial arts, but those people are hidden and they don't want to make any impact so they remain silence because of whatever the consequences are. But as for me I don't give a shit about the consequences, if people started to hate me and they want to eliminate me because I'm expressing the real like Buddha, Socrate, Osho, Tupac, Freddie etc then I won't stop and I will just continue (I bet the people that I know directly or NZ as a whole will be pissed off what I have to say). That's why I join this blog because I care about the martial arts (it is my passion) and so I can share my thoughts of views on what real martial arts is, and that is what this blog is for; for real marital artist expressing the real. Hopefully we as the authors of this blog, we can make an impact to this world and restore the martial arts, which had been damaged. I've given up on those people who just don't get it, I'm keeping it to myself and that is also why I'm on this blog, so I can share my thoughts to the people who listens and is opened to learn that are on the internet instead of sharing it to the people who are ignorant, and don't listen, and they are the people I encountered directly. So I'm keeping it to myself as an individual to the people here, but I'm sharing via this blog, and if the people I know directly do what to learn then they should just go on this blog and read all the things that are written by these amazing individuals.
I don't know if this makes sense to you guys, but I may went off the topic because I'm raging and pissed off. It sucks to be the only one in this country who really cares about the martial arts.
Fuck Daycare Martial Arts and Fuck MMA
Reading this ad on the sidebar is ridiculous. In America, a "Martial Arts" school is seen as an alternative to daycare, really. Is joining the Military, Police Academy, or Gang an alternative to daycare? To me, Real Martial Arts is like joining the Police Force or Military and joining combat sport is like joining a Gang. It's some serious shit that goes on, its not for children.
Because of stupid ass ads like this, people think that Martial Arts is for children. Are guns and knives for children? No. Real Martial Arts is for responsible adults, it is some serious and deadly shit if you don't handle the shit correctly.
Because of ads like this, the Fucking Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Power Fucking Rangers, and the Karate Fucking Kid, we either view Martial Arts to be for children or for Fighters; real Martial Arts is just non existent in America. There is no fucking balance.
This ad proves my point, a lot of Martial Arts schools such as Tae Kwon Do and Karate are really just fucking daycare centers. Don't fucking call that shit Martial Arts, call it what it is. A fucking daycare center with pajamas and colored belts to build false self-confidence within oneself. To make you feel like your a badass when in actuality you ain't shit. To make you think you can fight when in actuality you will get you ass beat the fuck down.
A 10 year old kid walking around with a black belt, are you fucking kidding me. Can a 10 year old kid become a Police Officer, NO! That little shit is not going to be able to protect himself or anyone from any great bodily harm. Even an 18 year old cannot be a Police Officer. The minimum age to be a Police Officer is 21, so I see that the earliest anyone should be able to retain a black belt if they are to get any bullshit belt is 21.
It's all fucking bullshit, a fucking scam. Daycare centers have fucking turned into Martial Art schools and criminal enterprises are now promoting cage fighting as Martial Arts. So it's either Power Fucking Rangers or Beating someone down in a cage. There is no balance out there, there is no Bruce Lee or Jet Li schools out there teaching a true balance. Even the police departments are corrupted.
Fuck these corrupted motherfuckas who go around destroying the reputation of the Martial Arts. Fuck the goddamn cage fighters and these low life motherfuckas running daycare centers under the name of the Martial Arts. Shit pisses me the fuck off. People wonder why I'm so fucking mad and negative all the time. Seeing shit like this and cage fighting is unbearable to me. If I didn't give a damn about Martial Arts, I wouldn't be angry. But how can anybody ever understand, how can you even care about Martial Arts if you don't even know what it is?
Here you have Americans exploiting the teachings of the East. Enslaving them to work in factories for 50 cents per hour is not good enough, they need to also exploit their culture, destroy the reputation, and profit from it at the same time. The people of the East are modern day slaves.
If you are an Indian living on a beautiful land and then all of a sudden a man named Christopher Columbus and all his buddies comes in to kill you and your entire family to steal your land away and call it America, would you not be pissed?
Well Dana White is like Christopher Columbus and Myself, Bruce Lee, and Brandon Lee is like the Indians living on the beautiful land. Dana White is coming in with his Brazilan Blow Job Ju-Jitsu Crew to kill off all the Real Martial Artists, take over the land and calling it American Mixed Martial Arts. You wonder why the fuck I am so pissed off at MMA.
Then we have a real Martial Artist like Bruce Lee living and expressing the Martial Arts, all of a sudden he dies out of no where and is replaced with Jackie Fucking Chan, the pioneer promoter of Fucking DayCare Martial Arts.
Fuck this shit, America don't know shit about the Martial Arts, they just know how to Rape and destroy the reputation of Real Martial Arts.

Be Like Water
-Lao Tzu
I love this quote because to me the water symbolizes the martial artist and the rock symbolizes the mma fighter.
Processed Foods
I'm struggling with this. For me it's not the taste of the food that makes me eat them, It's the boost of energy I get from them so I can have good workouts and training sessions. But it's the crash that really kills me, because when the energy is gone I have to eat more and more. This is a serious problem. I personaly think it is evil that these companies are doing this to the masses. But money rules the world and it has to be made somehow, right? Also, the people don't seem to mind it. These companies have the people where they want them. Here I am trying so hard to escape their vice. I can't get rid of these foods ether because my mother and my brother don't value health like I do, so it's always at my house. I'm constantly testing my will power. This is my hell because it is a blockage in my development.
I think I just have to fight through it for a while and let my body adjust to natural sources of carbs. I don't know, I'm no expert. If I wasn't an active person I'd probably be over weight. I'm 5'6 I weigh 144 lbs. If I were to break from the vice these processed foods have over me I'd lose a good 10 lbs and be in better shape. Any advice would be appreciated.

Osho on Organized Religion
This quote explains exactly why it is so hard for me to organize any of my ideas and thoughts. I am just being true moment to moment, how can that be organized?
Knuckles
In my training i never use gloves on any equipment like the heavy bag, bob dummy, and iron palm bag. Ive never been injured or serious pain. I noticed my knuckles look fine, but when i get my hands warm from washing my hands or when its cold out. My knuckles look bruised like i hit something really hard. Im curious if anyone else has a similar problem as me.
Jet li
I've got over 50+ Martial arts films i was watching one earlier today, and got me thinking about jet li. I think jet li best film of all time is fist of legend. I highly recommend this film if you haven't seen it. Speaking of movies name your favorite jet li film or any martial arts movies.
Mind Blown
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hUUCM-kVDH0
This is parallel to my thoughts at the moment (I feel the same way he does), I think some of you may be interested in what he has to say.
I learnt a lot from this guy, he showed me the beauty of what life really is.
Enlightenment
You cannot be taught the Tao, but only guided to the Tao.
These phrases of mine are only a watered down version of what I'm expressing through words. Only through silence and peace of mind is when you can feel them.
Osho on Vested Interests
When I read this quote, I think about how difficult it is to teach the Martial Arts in a commercialized society. When you teach your own children Martial Arts, there is no problem, there is no money involved or exchanged. If they want to learn, they learn, if they don't, they don't.
A Martial Arts teacher should never be a beggar for students, if he is a beggar for students, it is impossible for him to teach the Martial Arts the way it really should be taught. Essentially the students should be begging the Martial Art teacher to teach them. The teacher should be given the ability to choose one in one thousand to be ready for the Martial Arts. The Martial Arts teacher should not be begging to have 1000 students. It is all wrong. Out of 1000 people, one might be ready, 999 are not.
Profit does not belong in the Martial Arts. It can belong within the Fitness, Self-Defense, and Combat Sport industry. But it does not belong in the Martial Arts. You will be lucky to find another Bruce Lee within 100 years time. A Bruce Lee does not come by often. Real Martial Artists are not built in factories like a motor vehicle in an assembly line. A Martial Artist is a unique individual that does not come by very often. Like a Socrates, Lao tzu, Buddha, Bruce Lee, Osho, 2pac, Martin Luther King Jr., etc.
Osho on Truth
When I read this quote, I think about Bruce Lee pointing towards the moon in "Enter the Dragon." Bruce can never give you the moon, but he can point you towards the moon so that you can see it for yourself.
When teaching Martial Arts, I cannot give people special superhuman abilities but I can help inspire and motivate them to train and develop themselves to achieve their potential. Talent and skill cannot just be transferred but an individual can inspire one towards the path of development.
When people say, my teacher can do this, my teacher can do that. It does not mean anything, your teacher cannot give you what he knows but he can inspire you on the journey towards knowing yourself.
Osho on Experience
I find it very hard to train people to be real Martial Artists, it is an experience that I have gone through and it is hard to teach that. How can you teach love, love is something you must experience. How to teach someone to be an Artist? How to teach someone to express the love and creativity they have within? It is difficult, it takes time, it take patience. I am encountering more and more people who lack patience, but patience is required in order to develop into a true Artist.
Blocking and taking Hits
A friend at work was asking me how to block, so i showed him a couple moves. I also told him its impossible to block every strike you have to learn how to cover and take hits. Timing and patience is crucial. When you block don't just block, counter at the same time. I asked why he wanted to know. He replied, he was worried about getting in a fight. I then said, just remember what i told you. If you get in a fight never turn your back on him, and don't be afraid to get hit, be patient and follow up on the techniques i showed you.
What do you guys think did i do the wrong thing, and was it good or bad advice?

Osho on Goals - Help Understanding Requested
First of all thank you to Sifu Freddie Lee for posting those fantastic quotes from Osho. I have only just discovered Osho relatively recently as Freddie recommended him on YouTube. I find most of his teachings comprehensive and enlightening. However there is one that Sifu Freddie Lee posted that confuses me. It goes as follows:
On Goals:
"The moment you have a goal, you cut yourself off from existence. Then a small dewdrop is trying to fight against the ocean. Unnecessary is the trouble, meaningless is the struggle."
Mr. Lee stated: "I see that ranks and belt systems do not belong in the Martial Arts. We are meant to train with no goals, we are simply meant to train and enjoy the beauties of the experience for what it is."
I agree with this. No one needs rank or a belt to express themselves as artists. To think so would be silly in my opinion. However are goals not necessary parts of life?. In terms of Martial Arts, I thought that the desire to train should not be focused upon extrinsic materialistic objects such as belts, but intrinsic motivation seeking no external rewards, just training for the love of training and aspiring to better yourself physically, mentally and spiritually. The all around self improvement is the intention/goal of a Martial Arts practitioner is it not?
Maybe Osho was referring to goals that are unrealistic, and thus are not worth a futile struggle. But if we ourselves had no goals, then why would we get up every morning and train. Why would we post blogs to grow with the assistance of each others shared experiences?. Why would we as lightened candles, be motivated to lighten other peoples insight on the way of the Tao?.
Could someone please clarify the meaning of Osho's philosophy if anyone can adequately comprehend it's application to day to day life?.
Does Ground Fighting Work?
Some of you may find this video interesting. It's from Antony Cummins, the same Martial Arts historian who did the video 'Karate is not Japanese', which was posted earlier by another blogger.

Osho on Desire
"Desire as such is always unspiritual. So there cannot be any spiritual desire."
Osho pg. 159 "Golden Nuggets"
These quotes remind me of one of the greatest truths that you always need to remember in your life, always be yourself!

Peaceful Expression In The Martial Arts -Dance
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uc-1-Y4Mnro
I think that it's a peaceful way of expressing the martial arts compare to the competition fightings. Dancing is better than fighting.
Real marital artist express themselves in a peaceful way, but it doesn't have to be just dancing or practicing forms. But that is just an example.
Osho on No Choice
Osho pg. 133 "Golden Nuggets"
That is an extremely important teaching, in the Tao is speaks about this a lot. If you really deeply understand the philosophy of yin/yang, it will lead towards your personal liberation. Your life will never be the same again.
Osho on Being Choiceless
Osho pg. 131 "Golden Nuggets"
When I read this quote I think about the situation with YouTube trying to shut down the FMK channel. No matter the situation that I experience in life, I will learn to find a way to enjoy it.
Osho on Goals
Osho pg. 126 "Golden Nuggets"
I see that ranks and belt systems do not belong in the Martial Arts. We are meant to train with no goals, we are simply meant to train and enjoy the beauties of the experience for what it is.
Osho on Power
Osho pg. 124 "Gold Nuggets"
I see that a Real Martial Artist does not lust after power.
Osho Quote on Love
I hope that with this blog and with the students of whom I teach, and my supporters, we will remember this quote.
Osho Quote on Ego
"Ego can never enjoy aloneness in aloneness what is the point of having an ego?"
Osho pg. 115 "Golden Nuggets"
That's why there is so much corruption in the Martial Arts, because Martial Art classes are taught in groups, within groups, there is a lot of ego embellishment that has nothing to do with Martial Arts and is a distraction towards spiritual growth. In personal training, this is not present, there is no one to compare to in personal training, it is about your own development.
Martial Arts Styles
To me martial arts styles are no greater than another. Just pick an art that best interests you, but keep an open mind to all styles. Learn from everyone, use that knowledge to help you grow your own expression in the martial arts.
My opinion on UFC and Martial Arts based on my life experience
I recently moved to north Carolina been living here roughly 3months, and had to get a new job. I just started making new friends, and today they asked me what was my hobbies . I told them martial arts, and the first thing they thought of was fighting, and the ufc. Which made me mad, so I told them martial arts is a whole lot more than fighting. Its about building character, and being humble and respectful ect. To me martial arts was never about fighting its people that make it that way. Its their ego getting in the way trying to prove themselves. Just goes to show you the negative impact ufc plays in today's society. You got to be blind to not see it. Kids fighting in the streets grounding and pounding using ufc gear. People cheering them on while recording. Teens wearing these tap-out shirts it just pissing me off so bad. Ufc fighters are not martial artist they need to create there own label based on their experience in fighting. Grr, sorry just had to blow off some steam.

My Journey is Continuous
I have been training in martial arts for the past five years and it is perhaps my greatest passion in life. Throughout my life I had always thought that the practice of martial art was something I wanted to do. However, it was after watching this performance on Australia's got talent in 2009, that I felt practicing Martial Arts was a necessity. This performance was a jump start to what has turned out to be a life journey. A journey that has recently become more personal as I have recently realised (with the direction of Freddie Lee) that I must embark on my own journey in the Martial Arts. To learn how to express myself honestly and make my own expression of Martial Art unique to myself.
Now that I look back at this video, the genesis/origin of my journey, my opinion is somewhat mixed. I respect the fact that the performance is a peaceful demonstration of talent, however what these practitioners do is very unrealistic. But should all of our opinions be based on what works and what doesn't?. My opinion is not set in concrete because it is still developing. I have only just begun to walk the path of enlightenment. I suppose my current opinion is all in favour for peaceful and enjoyable demonstrations such as this one, where years of training can lead to obtaining abilities that most people don't have. And then using the skills without hurting anyone to bring out positive emotional reactions from people. At least it is not combat sport were people hurt each other for pride, fame, points and trophies. As long as the performers are not simply trained as circus animals solely it entertain, but to also be well aware and to actively practice the true way of the Martial Arts. To be conscious of the Tao.
Here is the performance:
https://m.youtube.com/watch?list=PL522D9A06D49E8D24&v=e86mSL0NRzc
What do you guys think of this performance and what I have had to say?
PS: I realised just now that I have grown while writing this blog. I think this blog is a written expression of personal growth for me, as my opinion was somewhat mixed, but now I feel I see things more clearly because in writing this blog, I had to look within my self for the answers!.
This blog gives me a reason to write, and seems to be helping me on my journey towards enlightenment.
KARATE IS NOT JAPANESE

I loved that quote, that gives me hope in knowing that one person can really make a great positive impact on this entire society.

Haven't Train In Combative
The reasons why I haven't train in combative, is because I've been busy with work (helping my parents), and school (study). I do workout, so I'm getting fit, but when I'm working out to get fit or get in good shape I don't have time to practice techniques combative and forms, and I don't have anyone to practice with, and also there is no boxing bag or a dummy at my gym. So I can't practice it at all. But all I can do at the gym is weights (or strength) training, endurance which I run on the treadmill, and flexibility. I run for 5 minutes with maximum incline at 9.5 km/hr which is like my warm up, then I do the strength or weights training for an hour, and I do my stretching for another hour also. I can't spend too much time at the gym because I have to study. So I train at the gym 5 days a week. But as for the two days off, it is my rest day and my catch up work day/just study day, because I'm always falling behind at school.
That's pretty much about my life, but sometimes on my two days off which is the weekend I do some spiritual and more intellectual training by reading books, by meditating and self reflecting. So this show that there is an imbalance in the martial art, as I only can get physically fit, and cultivate my spirit and intellect (gaining more knowledge) but not train in the combative, so that is missing. But to be honest I don't really know how to train combatively without a boxing bag or a dummy or without a person to spar with. I know I can just shadow box all day but that is not enough to be proficient.
Can someone give me a suggestion to train combatively?
I can practice form but that's it. I still also remember the techniques, in fact maybe all the techniques (which is like over 100), but it's endless only if I am at a high level where I am creative. But I can't execute the techniques precisely. I do have weapons but I can't really practice with it, because there is not enough room and I can't train outside because there are people, and I don't have have the right environment outside to train. Basically the place where I'm living is the ghetto or the hood whatever you call it. If only I had a better house that is located in a beautiful environment with no or less people . Maybe I should just write a scroll or a book full of combative techniques as I might forget later on in life.
I guess I'm not really a martial artist, as I'm missing the martial aspect as well as art because the art is the form, the artistic form like for example katas or CLF forms, and the martial is just combative training with a bag or sparring with a person in my opinion. I only have the knowledge and the wisdom or philosophy (or philosia) as I read a lot and also watch FMK videos. So there is an imbalance in yin-yang or internal-external, as my expression is overly yin or internal.
However next year I should be going to university (Otago) to study health science, and maybe I can join a martial art club like taekwondo, or judo because I want to learn something new. It's also good to join rather than train alone because you get taught and supervised and there are people who you can train with, which makes it fun, and also I can meet new people. If the school or club is no good then I have to do what Freddie did, which was establish my own club and call it "Martial artist united", because I'm sick of not training combatively and artistically. All I have to do is wait for around 7 or 8 months. Then I'll be free.

"McDojo", Dojo's Reputation Destroyed
No offense to the people with the name Mc, I'm not raging at you just because you have that name, but it's the label, or word. If your name is Mc whatever then I respect you as a person, how I respect everyone else. I'm also raging on the people who put Mc in front of Dojo.
There is corruption in the word Mc, as in my eyes it means selling out, and making money of it. And putting Mc next to dojo just destroy the reputation of the dojo and what it is meant to represent. If you think about McDonald, it's there to destroy your health and make money of it. Mcdojo is there to destroy the spirit of the martial arts and make money of it, like the McDonald. Putting the Mc in front of dojo, make it seem like it is McDonald but in terms of martial arts. I like the label Freddie came up with which is McBlowJo. It's perfect!
My interpretation of McBlowJo is this. Mc to me means selling out, and making money. Blow- which is obvious blowing someone. And Jo the Japanese word for place. Substitute McBlowJo gives "The place for selling out Blowing techniques and making money of it."
Use the the label Mcblowjo, not Mcdojo!
I'm glad they didn't corrupt the kwoon or the tao label.
I already came to a realization that labels don't mean anything so it's better if there is no labels. Labels are just there to make communications I guess? Labels doesn't define anything realistically. But this is the world or society we live in, where we are forced to use them. But we do get the freedom to create our own labels which is a good thing.
I know this is inappropriate to this blog, but if you want me to remove it I will.
I should just let things go, and ignore it, as I just talked about letting things go in my other post. But I just wanted to express my thoughts anyway, as I feel that it is right.
Hard Work vs. Talent : Philosia June 9 2014 - Personal Summary
I'd like to quickly summarise the message from a short and truthful philosia video that Freddie recently posted. Hard work vs. Talent. An intriguing topic when analysed. Hard work is like nurturing and refining your abilities. Talent refers to your genetic potential, what you are naturally good at. This sounds to me like the classic nature vs nurture debate. Freddie concludes that one should discover what he or she is naturally talented at, and develop/nurture their ability to a high level. I simplified these teachings into three words. They go as follows: Nurture Your Nature.
If you haven't seen the video, the link is provided below if your interested. It's a good little philosia.
Don't think....Feel!
For some time now I have realised that in order for our self-defence to be proficient, a Martial Artist must be meditative and in the moment. When defending ones self, one must not think, but feel, kind of like dancing. The same must apply in some way or another to other aspects of the martial arts and life that I am yet to realise. It is also my interpretation of Bruce Lee's famous saying.
The following examples are choreographed demonstrations that may or may not be the best of examples. I believe the practitioners in the first one think, and thus their techniques seem to be more rigid. The second one seems to be more fluent, refined and natural. Regardless of anyone's somewhat political opinion including my own, I still think they are fun to watch.
1), KARATE - Tiger Karate - Shotokan and mix of martial arts:
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=X1pz8pDD6HY
2), Karate Demonstration Ki Me Kan shito ryu karate do.wmv:
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=VYt55ZFZjLk
Does anyone think the performance in video 1 is as fluent, artistically and naturally executed as that of video 2?. Maybe one is just choreographed better but in which performance do you guys think the practitioners think more or feel more?.
Feel free to let me know:)

Letting Things Go
My instructor taught me the idea of letting things go. Whenever something terrible happens and makes you feel angry or depress, like you get dumped, or your in a conflict, arguing and fighting with someone, or you get embarrassed by someone, or something that you value gets destroyed, then just let it go, be detach by it. The more you think about those feelings the more it grows and more intense it becomes. It's like being or feeling itchy, the more you think about it the worst it gets, so just let it go. Whenever you think about something initially, those thoughts or feelings sticks or glues to your mind. Like when you get hit during sparring, as soon as you think about the feeling of pain then that feeling sticks to you like glue, so you feel pain and if you still think about it then the pain will still be present until you ignore it, which is letting it go. Also it's the same thing as when someone verbally attacks you, making you feel depress and unhappy, so what do you do? Just let it go and move on with your life. Because whatever you focus on grows like I said earlier. That's why I only like to think about the positives, because that will help me grow positively to my full potential. A quote that I would like to share is by Ralph Smart.
"Whatever you can let go off will determine how high you can fly"
Basically letting go off the things that is hinderance to you, or that things that stops you from growing or being free, then that will make you reach your full potential and become free.
How do you let things go?, well practice mediation it will manifest it.
However I do understand the idea about responding and not letting go like for example fighting back when things around you attack you. So when someone comes at you verbally then you come right back at them verbally, and if they want to get physical then get physical. You can't let them put you down, and make your life miserable and unbalanced. But as soon as you respond with an action and it's over then just let things go and ignore it like it never happened. I do see both sides, but it's hard to decide which one to go with. The one to go with is within you, use your intuition and trust it. Whatever feels right flow with it, like the river current which often leads to the right path.
Also I would like to say that if you see any misspell words then just ignore, or if anything does not make sense the way that I structured it or word. I'm not very proficient in English as some may say that it's my second language. I don't normally check or proof read and edit my post, because I don't have time to do it as I have a very busy life. Because right now I'm suppose to be studying, but I'm just procrastinating as I keep going on this blog reading and posting, but that's all I have to say about that which I should of said in my first post.

Love In The Martial Arts
Unfortunately I can't really teach or discuss what true love is because that is for the woman, only the woman can teach it. Another thing is if I haven't experienced true love than I can't really talk about it. (I have been in a relationship but it didn't go well). But I just going to share what I've been taught by the people (typically my martial arts instructor) and expose by the films that I watched and books that I've read.
I heard that love is what completes or fulfills oneself to become the greatest version of oneself. I can't really say anything about that, as I haven't experience it yet. But when I do, I can provide my experience and my outlook of it. But what I am going to share is just my limited perspective. I consider myself as someone young and naivete who hasn't fully grown yet, and is still growing.
So about love in the martial arts or love in general, to me it is the blend of energy. (I don't know about you all, but I see things in terms of energy and frequency which everything in this universe has a vibration.) The blend of energy occurs when energy (anything or anyone) works together. An example of this is you see couples hugging each other, which their energy is blending and working together in unity and harmony to become one. But in martial arts, Aikido (which is translated as ai meaning love, blending or harmony, ki means energy, life force, like chi or prana and do meaning the way or path) expresses this. So aikido can mean "the way of love energy", "the way of harmonizing the energy", or "the way of blending the energy", but many refer this to "the way of peace" which peace is also refer to love and harmony. In aikido the purpose of its expression is to harmonize and unify the energy by blending with it, guiding and redirecting it. This can be seen in combat as I'll provide a link.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2qErpY4nqcM
I can't really find a good example of it, but I hope you understand what I'm trying to say. I can show you all a better demonstration of what I mean by making my own video, but the problem is that I don't have anyone to demonstrate it on. This idea is also seen in the combative aspect of tai chi as the practitioner blends with the attack (that energy) and redirect it away.
This concept of love that aikido express does not only apply to combat, it applies to everything in life. Just remember that aikido is just a label that defines an expression, I'm only using it as an example because it emphasize this concept and is known for it as it is seen very often. Of course every martial arts expression do express that, but they don't show it often. This expression of love is only seen only by an individual who has reach a high level in the martial arts.
Lets talk about Steven Seagal's expression or interpretation of aikido. To me I feel that he has corrupted the label as his expression is violent. The way he perform is different to the way the founder perform. The real aikido expression is about blending the energy and working together to be in harmony, unity and in peace. Seagal's expression on the other hand is that he does not blend with the energy and forces the energy and works against it to be in disharmony, division and destruction. He guides the energy in a negative way whereas the founder guides it in a positive way. So Seagal's expression is not a very good example.
So for an individual (man) to understand this love in general and reach a higher level in their development (which may contribute to the martial arts), they must be taught it and experience it with a woman. Like I said I can't teach that's because I'm a male and I never experience true love so I haven't reach that high level yet. Only female can teach or show you males as I said earlier. That's what they are born to do I guess?
But what I can say is that you must have self love prior to loving others. Loving your self is very important as meditation manifest it. It will complete one half of yourself. The other half will come when you truly love a woman. What makes a relationship solidify or stabilize and successful is when both of the couples truly love each other, so meaning their energy are blending and working together in harmony, and it is balanced. My relationship that I was in, was unbalanced as our energy were working against each other. The one that I was with did not really teach me about love, but taught me depression. But at least I learn something, as learning is important. Maybe when I'm with a real woman who loves I can reach that high level and show you all what it's like (how is feels)
Another thing that I forgot to mention is I remember watching one of Freddie's video on chi energy, how a touch transfer chi, I think that what it was, I can't remember clearly. And he talks about during intimacy there is a lot of touching which more energy is being transferred. All that chi energy that is being transfer (to each other between couples) is blending and working together to make an offspring with masculine and famine energy unifying and becoming one. So essentially the concept of love that I'm sharing, with the whole idea of the blending of the energy thing applies to everything.
This is my outlook of what I have to say, hope you all learn something from this.

Some Visible Progress
Artistic Expression In The Martial Arts- Engage In Combat
Now lets compare and relate this to real martial artist and cage fighters (or combat sports practitioners). I would say that cage fighters are like the juniors, and real martial artists are like the seniors. If you want two cage fighters fight, they are always getting hit, and a lot of injuries occurs. They objective is to destroy each other. Real martial artists sparring or fighting with each other, barely gets hit like I said earlier, which results in minimal injuries or no injuries and their objective is to work together (work with each other) to create a work of art. Cage fighters expression is animalistic and disturbing, real martial artists expression is artistic and beautiful.
"Do vs Jutsu"
You may hear the word Do at the end of martial art labels such as taekwondo, judo, kendo, aikido, hapkido, jeet kune do, tang soo do and so on. You may also hear the word Jutsu at the end of martial art labels such as kenjutsu, aikijujutsu, ninjutsu, jujutsu and so on. Do means "the way" or "the way to enlightenment, self-realization, and understanding." Jutsu on the other hand means "art" or "techniques".
Historically most martial arts label used jutsu in Japan. Jutsu to me has more emphasis on the combative techniques which some may consider that as an art. It does not emphasize on the spiritual development. So it is basically yang as it only promote the martial combative and war. Later the martial arts label (jutsu) has transformed into Do (so more labels). So instead of the kenjutsu (the art or technique of the sword) it is kendo (the way of the sword). Do to me emphasize on the personal spiritual growth and zen. And why did it transformed? because the need for fighting skills in the Orient diminished during the sixteenth century. So the Do is a balanced of yin and yang (in Japanese it is "in and yo" but I'm just using yin and yang because it is common) as it promotes love, peace, compassion and the martial combative as well.
Real martial arts is suppose to be represented as an individual as it manifest creativity. Just remember that the martial arts labels that I mentioned are not styles, they are just labels that the founders came up with to label their expression of the martial arts. So they are just representing themselves.
So real martial arts is more like the Do whereas as the so called martial arts, the combat sports (cage fighting) is more like the jutsu. The purpose of real martial arts which was written in the book, "zen in the martial arts" is to serve as a vehicle for personal spiritual development. The purpose of combat sports is to fight. The expression of real martial arts is peaceful and artistic. The expression of combat sports is just violent.
Sometimes I may feel that the label martial arts should be dissociated in respect to the real martial arts as the martial arts label has been damaged or corrupted as some people may view it. So the real martial arts should be label as the martial way , the martial arts way or the tao of the martial arts which tao is suppose to mean the way I think? That way it dissociates with the corruption and the negativity.
I guess you can say that the label Jutsu at the end of martial arts label is corrupted as Freddie said. Again the real martial arts is suppose to be peaceful in the first place like the martial arts with the Do at the end of martial arts label, as it originally came out of China. But I'm just speaking about Japan's way of martial arts in this blog. So really the martial arts that came out of Japan which is their interpretation of the real martial arts from china, should change their label. And combat sports by the way is not martial arts.
I know this is inappropriate on this blog but I'm just going to say it anyway just for fun. If you want me to remove it I will. If you haven't notice, basically about the word Jutsu remember that it means techniques/art. So what's funny is whenever Freddie says BJJ- blow job jujutsu, what it really means is blow job gentle technique. Ju means gentle and jujitsu means technique, just substitute the jujutsu with gentle technique. Or it can mean the art of giving BJ gently. So I don't practice BJ gentle technique. I rather have a women who loves me, practice BJ gentle technique(s) on me.
I'm just joking around so don't get mad. lol

Positivity can come out of Negativity.
I'm going to philosophise about a statement that stood out to me from the 'Book of Five Rings', a somewhat classic book written by Miyamoto Mesashi, that I myself highly recommend to any Martial Artist seeking an incite into the philosophical aspects of self defence. I found the statement on page 5 of my copy. It reads "Commercialism does nothing to enhance the reality of the truth, although it can lead one to the start of the path.".
First of all, let's think of what we know about commercialism in the Martial Arts. Often commercial Martial Art schools limit themselves to a single cultural expression of Martial Art, and label themselves something like Taekwondo or Karate. Individuals who have reached a certain level of enlightenment such as our great Sifu, Mr. Freddie Lee, criticise this as it is wrong to limit the creative and artistic expression of human beings once the Martial Art practitioner is ready with or without knowing it, to go beyond the systemised curriculum of their school. As a result the practitioner may never embark on their own journey in the Martial Arts and never know what they are missing out on. Most Martial Art schools don't encourage practitioners to express themselves as individuals. To demonstrate Martially Artistic independence is too often seen as a threat to the schools business. I believe this to be wrong and I completely understand and agree why Bruce Lee and Freddie Lee spoke/speak against Martial Art schools discouraging practitioners from exploring a world beyond the nest.
I do believe that Commercialism does nothing to enhance the reality of the truth, however it did lead me to start on the path. The following information is just one example of how I believe that positivity can be found in negativity. For the past 5 years I have been practicing at the local Taekwondo school. I started learning Martial Art with no previous experience. As I progressed through the ranks, I found I was enjoying Martial Art more and more. Classes are only operating twice a week, and after a while I felt my desire for Martial Art was never being satisfied. This Taekwondo school was the only place to learn Martial Arts in my town. I felt as if I was only learning part of the totality of the Martial Arts, so I went to the internet.
Not long after, I discovered Freddie's Modern Kung Fu on YouTube. The first FMK video I viewed the on where he is striking down the BOB XL with a variety of kicks. There was something different about Freddie. He was/is not the typical Martial Art commercialised stereotype with a black belt, oblivious to the truth, on the internet to stroke their ego. Freddie was/is genuine seems to be more spiritually awake then any body I had come across. I somehow kept being drawn back to Freddie's videos. His videos keep coming out at a regularly constant rate, keeping me interested. I think there was/is some kind of eye to eye understanding I had/have with Freddie and his teachings. Freddie Lee has become my internet Sifu, as he has led me towards the path of enlightenment. He has also directed me towards other wise individuals and media such as Morihei Ueshiba's book 'The Art of Peace'.
I started off at a part time commercial Taekwondo school (which I still attend), and then found Freddie's Modern Kung Fu as I had a inner desire for truth. A desire for something more holistic. I found it and am still learning from it. This is why I like the statement - "Commercialism does nothing to enhance the reality of the truth, although it can lead one to the start of the path.". It has led me to believe that we should always look for positivity in anything negative, no matter how bad something may seem. Positive people are normally healthier and happier people. This is my Philosia.
Anyway what do you guys think?. Can anyone else relate to this statement?. Does anyone else think that positivity can come out of negativity?. Can Yin come out of Yang?.
PS: Long Live Freddie's Modern Kung Fu and the FMK community!.
